How do TinyLove Photo Sessions Work?
TinyLove is all about capturing the entire journey of motherhood in pictures. This journey has some beautiful milestones starting from the baby bump to the first birthday of the child to even beyond. I have had the opportunity of capturing all of these milestones for parents.
Parents schedule a session appointment by simply emailing or calling me, preferably about 10-15 days before the day they want the session. The sessions are arranged at the comfortable environment of our natural light boutique studio at Noida or at an outdoor location. The sessions can also be arranged at the comfort of your house.
Before the shoot, we discuss the location, clothing ideas, and what the parent exactly wants from the session. I’m the kind of person who likes to know the child and the family before we shoot, because it helps me get the best out of the session for you. Plus, I’m a good listener. So please feel free to share anything you think would help me conceptualise the shoot better.
During the session
Photographing children or expecting mothers – both require time and patience, and the best shots are only produced when everyone is at ease. The sessions are very casual and easygoing, usually lasting about 1-3 hours. We specialise in natural light portraits, so no artificial lightning or space-consuming equipment is needed. My advice to parents for the session is: be natural, so the child feels comfortable. Let them do or wear what they want to. The best shots are candid ones, and children have an unmatched flair for them, as long as they are comfortable. The same applies for baby bump (maternity) sessions too.
Within about 15 working days, I share with the parents the link of a private online proofing gallery, showcasing the best shots of the session. You can select your favourites from there and order them as digitals, prints and other products available with TinyLove Photography.
What is the best age to have my newborn photographed?
The best time to photograph your newborn is around 12-20 days old. At this stage the baby sleeps a lot and is most receptive to positioning. Please book your session during your pregnancy so that I can make a room in the schedule around your due date.
Can you recommend a location for my session?
Absolutely! I have scouted a selection of beautiful locations and will be happy to discuss them with you.
When is the best time for maternity photos?
It is generally recommended to plan your maternity photography session in the late second or early third trimester. You want to be clearly showing but still feel comfortable enough to enjoy the process. Earlier than that and the belly may not be prominent enough, later than that and you may feel uncomfortable. But every woman and every pregnancy is different, so listening to your body is always a good idea. Be sure to plan things early so you’ll be sure to have your choice of a convenient time.
